Caroline True Records are very excited to bring you the debut album from Berlin based German-Swedish-Australian act HEKLA. Limited to 300 vinyl copies their self-styled Doom-pop takes in many shades, from the Shangri Las and Aerial Pink to Joy Division and Psychedelia.

Gideon Coe at BBC 6Music has showcased & shown much love toward HEKLA on his excellent show. 

A truly multi-faceted set that blends intricate song structures, bold key changes, shifting baroque moves, and a nod to 60s girl bands into something quite indefinable.

Fuzzy guitars, swelling synth sounds & the dramatic drums of Dover Calais set the tone for an album inspired by everything from Swedish folk music to 60’s garage psychedelica & 80’s synthwave adventures. HEKLA have created a scarily compulsive record filled with colour and mood.

The album features a unique collage cover created by artist Annica Åberg especially for HEKLA.
